The Denver Broncos will help the NFL career of wide receiver Michael Bandy continue after all. On Wednesday, the team signed him to a new deal, according to 9News insider Mike Klis

Following their loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, the Broncos offered reserve/future deals to several players on their practice squad. It was a bit of a surprise that Bandy was not among them.

Since he was not signed at that time, he entered into the pool of available free agents and the Broncos have decided to bring him back, where he will join the roster immediately ahead of the 2026 season.

When the Broncos needed another wide receiver from the practice squad on game days this past season, it was Bandy who got the nod over the likes of Elijah Moore and A.T. Perry. He played in four games, catching four passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.

He can also contribute on special teams as a punt returner.

Undrafted out of San Diego in 2020, Bandy started his career in The Spring League before being signed by the Los Angeles Chargers. He played in 11 games between 2021 and 2022 for the team before joining the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL in 2023.

The Broncos signed him later that summer and he has been with the team since, spending the majority of his time on the practice squad.

Aside from Bandy, the Broncos have only four other wide receivers under contract for next season: Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims Jr., Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant. Lil'Jordan Humphrey is an unrestricted free agent.
