The Chicago Bears' offseason is finally getting underway. While they have some big decisions to make with their free agents, the Bears also have some big trade decisions to make.
DJ Moore is a hot topic in trade rumors already this offseason, but there could be more players on the move this offseason. Another trade candidate is already drawing calls this offseason.
Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team shared that Bears general manager Ryan Poles revealed at the NFL Scouting Combine that trade calls have come in on the $10 million backup to Caleb Williams, undrafted free agent quarterback Tyson Bagent.
Bears receive trade calls on Tyson Bagent
"Bears GM Ryan Poles says the team has received calls about the potential trade availability of QB Tyson Bagent," Meirov shared.
Bagent is 26 years old and is heading into the final year of a two-year, $10 million contract. He's the backup to Williams and hasn't had a chance to get much work in the last two years.
In 2025, Bagent went 3-for-4 in his very limited action, throwing for 47 yards, no touchdowns, and interceptions to go with seven rushing yards on two attempts.
While he's not had much work in 2025, he did get on the field for four starts in 2023. He went 2-2, completing 65.7% of his passes for 859 yards with three touchdowns and six interceptions. He also ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns on 23 attempts.

Trading Bagent might not be the worst idea for the Bears, as, while a backup quarterback is important, there should be other solid options that Ben Johnson can utilize if needed.
If a team is willing to spend a bit on Bagent, a cheap backup quarterback option, the Bears should seriously consider making a trade.
Bagent trade rumors will be one to keep in mind, as the Bears have already received calls on his availability, and a trade would make a whole lot of sense for the Bears.
