Dolphins Release Tyreek Hill, Ending Four-Year Tenure

The Miami Dolphins released 31‑year‑old Tyreek Hill, ending his four‑season stint in Miami. The move frees $35.2 million in 2026 cap space for the new front office.

The Miami Dolphins released Tyreek Hill on Feb. 16, clearing $35.2 million in 2026 salary cap and creating a $28.2 million dead‑cap hit. The decision comes as GM Jon‑Eric Sullivan and coach Jeff Hafley take over.

During his time in Miami, Hill led the NFL in receiving yards in 2023 and recorded 340 catches for 4,733 yards and 27 touchdowns, ranking in the league’s top ten despite missing most of last season.
