Márquez Claims Hungary Pole Despite Fitness Concerns
Marc Márquez left the paddock in awe as he secured pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Spanish rider, who had admitted he's not fully fit, delivered two stunning fast laps at the end of Q2 to claim the top spot on the grid.
Pedro Acosta had been performing strongly earlier in the session, raising hopes of securing pole, but Márquez's late intervention ensured he would start from the front of the grid.

Jason Weaver on ITV Racing yesterday raised the prospect again of the Derby runners coming up the stands side. That will be such a temptation if there is more significant rain by the time the Derby gets underway and the clerk of the course Andrew Cooper says we can expect more precipitation in an hour or so. Derby historian Michael Church says it’s not happened since 1919 and no one remembers that. Willie Carson, who has won the Derby four times, thinks it might just happen! He told the Racing Post: “One hundred per cent they’ll come across. How can they not? The fastest ground is at the top of the track.”

Déjà vu este sábado en Roland Garros, donde Granollers y Zeballos, tributo los dos a la sencillez, a la normalidad y a eso de no tener ínfula alguna, repiten y se coronan por segunda vez, imponentes e imbatibles. Muy felices. Se imponen por 6-4 y 6-2 (en 1h 16m) a la segunda pareja del mundo, el finlandés Harri Heliovaara y el británico Henry Patten, y se funden con los suyos, rociados por el agua: “¡Dale, daléele!”. Dice el argentino: “Nunca hubiera imaginado que con 40 años seguiría aquí…”. Pero sobra cuerda, al parecer. Es el tercer grande que ganan de la mano.
