F1 Power Units Vote on Engine Test Changes

Formula 1's five power unit manufacturers are set to vote on a proposal to modify how engine compression ratios are measured, with potential implementation during the summer break.

The 2026 power unit regulations prescribe a compression ratio of 16:1, down from 18:1 in the previous season. Currently, this ratio is measured at ambient temperature when the engine is not running, but the proposed change could alter this methodology.
