Falcons Work Out Smith After Browns Deal Expected

The Falcons worked out veteran pass rusher Za'Darius Smith on Monday, despite him being expected to sign with the Browns.

The Falcons are seeking pass rush help after losing James Pearce Jr. for eight games due to suspension and Jalon Walker for the entire season with an ACL tear. Smith, 34, had 10.5 sacks in 25 games for the Browns before being traded to the Lions. Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski was Cleveland's head coach during Smith's time there. afnews.co.za
