Gardner-Johnson Diagnosed With Calf Strain

Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has been diagnosed with a lower calf strain after being carted off during Saturday's practice.

Gardner-Johnson suffered the injury during practice and underwent an MRI which confirmed the diagnosis. The good news is he has six weeks until the season opener and is not expected to miss significant game action.

The Bills signed Gardner-Johnson as a free agent this offseason. The 28-year-old safety played for both the Texans and Bears last season, recording 66 tackles, three sacks, four passes defensed and two interceptions in 13 games. afsport.lat
