Hurley Slams UConn's Defense as 'Joke' After Loss

UConn coach Dan Hurley sharply criticized his team's defense after the Huskies fell 91-84 to unranked Creighton, calling the performance 'a joke' and 'dreadful.'

Hurley noted a lack of effort and execution on defense from the start, allowing Creighton to score 45 first-half points. 'You're in trouble to start the game when you're subbing people within the first minute,' he said. Freshman Braylon Mullins scored a game-high 25 points despite missing part of the second half with an injury. Silas Demary Jr. added 17 points and Tarris Reed Jr. had 15. The loss comes as UConn prepares to face Villanova and St. John's, the second and third-ranked teams in the Big East.
