Jalen McMillan, who fractured three vertebrae and had herniated discs in a scary preseason neck injury last season, is now fully healed and ready to contribute. The Buccaneers receiver played only four games last season after the injury but caught 12 passes for 178 yards to close out the year.
With Mike Evans now in San Francisco, McMillan's production becomes crucial. The third-round pick made 37 receptions for 461 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games before his injury. "I am happy," McMillan said. "Just to be out there and to catch balls from Baker [Mayfield] and just to run on my feet, I feel good." Coach Todd Bowles praises McMillan's toughness and competitiveness, noting his "unbelievable" mental approach to the game. catcrossgame.com
