Jim Ratcliffe avoids FA charge after controversial immigration comments

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will not face any action from the Football Association regarding his comments about immigration.

The FA examined if Ratcliffe's remarks about the UK being "colonised by immigrants" brought the game into disrepute but decided not to charge him. Ratcliffe apologised following criticism from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.

The decision comes shortly after United interim manager Michael Carrick reiterated his pride in the club's culture of equality and diversity.
