Leicester Appeal Six-Point Deduction for Financial Breaches

Leicester City have appealed a six-point deduction for breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules, a sanction that has pushed them into the Championship bottom three.

Leicester were charged in May and dropped to 20th in the table before suffering two consecutive defeats. The club described the ruling as disproportionate despite the commission reducing the original scale of the sanction.

The Premier League is seeking an urgent resolution before the end of the season. Both sides have submitted appeals to the judicial panel, who will now appoint an appeal board to hear the case, including a ruling on the commission's decision regarding late account submissions.
