Maryland is expected to hire former Jacksonville State offensive coordinator Clint Trickett, sources tell CBS Sports. Trickett replaces Pep Hamilton, who will transition to a senior advisor role.

The hire marks a significant shift for the Terps. Trickett led JSU to No. 1 total offense in CUSA and averaged over 246 rushing yards per game in 2025. He previously served as an offensive coordinator at Marshall and Georgia Southern.
