Michigan State drops to No. 4 seed in latest bracketology

A recent slump has caused Michigan State to fall to a No. 4 seed in the East Region for the NCAA Tournament, according to the latest USA TODAY Sports projection.

Michigan State is projected to face No. 13 seed Stephen F. Austin in Tampa in the first round. The Spartans have lost three of their last four games, including a blowout loss to Wisconsin.

With a record of 20-5, Michigan State hosts UCLA on Tuesday. A win over the Bruins could help the team climb back to a No. 3 seed. Selection Sunday is just under a month away.
