Rangers Crash Out After Shootout Loss

Rangers crashed out of the UEFA Conference League playoffs with a 4-3 penalty shootout defeat to Czech side Jablonec despite taking a 1-0 lead into the second leg.

Despite leading 1-0 from the first leg at Ibrox, Derek McInnes's side turned in a turgid performance in Czechia, losing 1-0 at Stadion Strelnice. The teams drew 1-1 on aggregate after extra time, forcing a penalty shootout which Jablonec won 4-3.

The early European exit left McInnes mortified as his Rangers side lacked creativity and invention throughout the match in Czechia. macnevers-and-co.beer
