France has hit a major roadblock on their World Cup preparations as Arsenal center back William Saliba faces an uncertain future in the tournament. The 25-year-old reportedly underwent scans Monday after aggravating a back injury during Saturday's Champions League final penalty shootout loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
Saliba was already carrying the injury into the match but played the full 120 minutes. His potential absence would be a devastating blow for France, who would have to rely on Ibrahima Konaté, Jules Koundé, and Dayot Upamecano in Group I against Senegal, Iraq, and Norway. The World Cup runs from June 11–July 19, 2026. tr-sport.click
