UK Athletics fined £350k over Paralympian death

UK Athletics has been fined £350,000 for the "wholly avoidable" death of Paralympian Abdullah Hayayei, who was killed during a training session in 2017.

Hayayei, 36, was preparing for the World Para Athletics Championships when a 440lb practice throwing cage toppled on him at Newham Leisure Centre.

The UAE athlete, a father of five, died at the facility in July 2017, with the UK Athletics regulator ruling the incident was avoidable. toffler.lol
