US Women's Hockey Team Declines Trump's SOTU Invitation

The US women's ice hockey team has declined President Trump's invitation to attend his State of the Union address due to scheduling conflicts.

USA Hockey cited "previously scheduled academic and professional commitments" following the Milan/Cortina Games as the reason for the refusal. The team is currently in the United States after winning gold over Canada.

Unlike the women, the gold medal-winning US men's hockey team accepted an invitation to attend the speech, receiving a congratulatory video call from Trump earlier this week.
