Yankees Acquire OF Heliot Ramos

The New York Yankees have acquired outfielder Heliot Ramos from the San Francisco Giants to bolster their lineup before Monday's MLB trade deadline.

The Yankees continue to upgrade their offense by adding the 26-year-old Ramos, who is hitting .264 with nine home runs and 34 RBIs this season. The move comes a day after acquiring first baseman Luis Garcia from the Nationals.

New York has been struggling offensively since Aaron Judge's injury in early August, but remains in contention in the AL East, trailing the Tampa Bay Rays by 2.5 games. Ramos, who was an All-Star in 2024, hit 43 total homers in the previous two seasons. tbzikra.org
