FC Barcelona could be one step closer to signing their first signing of the summer, even though the transfer window is still months away.
Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at the club from Manchester United, appears poised to secure a permanent transfer to the Catalan outfit, reports Mundo Deportivo.
All set for Rashford to move permanently
The English forward’s notable performances – 10 goals and 11 assists so far this campaign – have strengthened Barcelona’s intention to keep him beyond June 30, when his loan from Manchester United expires.
For that to happen, Barça will have to activate the €30 million purchase clause in the loan agreement with the Red Devils, which they have decided to do.
While there were some talks of the Blaugrana not being ready to pay the full amount, they are now ready to meet the agreed-upon price for the England international.
What’s more, the report further states that even the payment formula with Manchester United has already been agreed: three annual instalments of €10 million.

In other words, the structure of the deal with the Premier League is fully settled, with the deal now getting close to completion.
Agreement with Rashford
There will be no need to negotiate anything with Rashford’s representatives because everything was already agreed with him when the loan deal was finalised last July.
That means Barça do not need to present a new offer, as the financial terms were already established when his arrival on loan was completed.
From this point onward, for Barça’s sporting department to give the final approval, the economic impact of Rashford must fit within La Liga’s Financial Fair Play parameters.
That calculation will depend on the length of his new contract – three years or at most four, and the salary he will receive.
If everything can be adjusted to comply with La Liga’s Fair Play rules, Barça will give the green light to the operation.
Rashford is happy at the Spotify Camp Nou, where he believes he still has room to grow.
