Texas softball: The Longhorns beat Houston in first game on Longhorn Invitational schedule

Texas Longhorns softball beat the Houston Cougars 9-1 in five innings on Friday night in the Longhorn Invitational. The defending national champions entered the game off a dominant midweek win over Southeastern Louisiana, and have now won 14 consecutive games,

No. 3 Texas will face South Carolina next weekend to open SEC softball.
