All area wrestlers eliminated from Class A boys state wrestling meet

Feb. 27— All eight area wrestlers competing in the Class A boys meet were eliminated at Grand Casino Arena on Friday.

At 107, Easton Busho of Westfield beat Kegan Inglett 16-0 in an elimination match, but Busho was eliminated when he was pinned by Heydan Danielson of Minneota.

Busho, a seventh grader, finishes with a record of 35-11.

At 121, Westfield's Bentley Miller lost his quarterfinal match 5-0 to Hunter Katterhagen and he was defeated 10-2 on a major decision by Kaston Clarke of Fulda-Murray City Central.

Miller, a sophomore, finishes with a record of 38-8 overall.

At 127, Parker Armagost of GMLOS beat Gavin Olson of Benson with a first period pin, but Armagost was eliminated when he was pinned by Bryan Jacobson of Kenyon-Wanamingo.

Armagost, a junior, finishes with a record of 37-16 overall.

At 145, GLMOS's Cael Smith was eliminated when he lost 5-1 to Hunter Polikowsy of Chatfield.

Smith, a sophomore, finishes with a record of 37-12 overall.

At 152, Westfield's Cayden Maly beat Dalton Wilson of LeSueur-Henderson by medical forfeit, but he was eliminated when he was pinned by Cole Froehlic of Kerkoven-Murdock-Sunberg in an elimination game.

Maly, a sophomore, finishes with a record of 22-23 overall.

At 215, GMLOS's Drake Payne lost his quarterfinal match when he was defeated 9-4 by Tanner Moe of Frazee. Payne was eliminated when he was pinned by Jacob Savig of Quad County.

Payne, a senior, finishes with a record of 42-9 overall.

GMLOS's Wyatt Krull pinned Jaciel Cardenas of Atwater-Cosomos-Grave City, but he was eliminated when he lost to Jordan Depestel of Canby 9-1.

Krull, a senior, finishes with a record of 24-18 overall.
