The Los Angeles Rams, entering the 2026 offseason, are ready to go all-in for a Super Bowl push. Matthew Stafford is back, and the Rams have plenty of ammo.
They have the cap space needed to make splash additions, and they have two first-round picks as well. Whether it's a trade, free agent signing, or a draft pick, the Rams are gearing up for an all-in 2026 season.
With such plans in mind, Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report named a former Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl cornerback, Nahshon Wright, as the Rams' "perfect" free agent to sign this offseason.
Rams linked to Bears, Cowboys, Nahshon Wright as 'perfect' FA signing
"The Rams have tried to find a bargain at the cornerback position and paid for it," Ballentine writes. "Investing in Nahshon Wright in free agency would increase the resources they devote to the position without going overboard."
Wright is coming off a breakout season with the Bears in 2025. The 27-year-old cornerback hadn't made more than two starts in a season before coming to the Bears. He started 16 games for Chicago in 2025.
In his 17-game breakout and Pro Bowl season, Wright recorded five interceptions, including one pick-six, 11 passes defended, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 80 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and one QB hit.
In pass coverage, Wright allowed a passer rating of 86.3, which is perfectly acceptable for the Rams in their search for a new starting cornerback.

The veteran cornerback is 6-foot-4, 199 pounds. Compared to Emmanuel Forbes, who is 6-foot-0, 173 pounds, Wright is the far bigger cornerback.
After the Rams were beaten through the air by Sam Darnold in the NFC Championship game, adding a top cornerback or two this offseason is a must.
Wright would be a "perfect" free agent target as his breakout 2025 season is worth investing in, but with the fear that it was a one-hit-wonder, the Rams won't have to pay elite cornerback money to bring him in.
The Rams need a cornerback badly this offseason, and while there are trade options and prospects worth considering, Wright is their best free agent option this offseason.
