Wisconsin basketball notched a 90-73 road win over Washington on Saturday.
Bench guard Braeden Carrington led the winning effort, delivering 32 points, four rebounds and three assists, while shooting an impressive 9-of-15 from 3. Long-range shooting provided Wisconsin a key advantage throughout the contest; it connected on 17 of 38 outside looks, outshooting Washington 45% to 22% from the area.
The triumph was an important bounce-back for Wisconsin after recent losses to Ohio State and Oregon halted its red-hot momentum. The team improved to 20-9 (12-6 Big Ten) with the triumph, taking another step closer to an NCAA Tournament berth.
Notably, Wisconsin's impressive road win also led to a significant upgrade in both KenPom and ESPN's Basketball Power Index.
Wisconsin basketball's updated KenPom, ESPN basketball power index ranking after Washington win
- KenPom: No. 30 overall (up four spots), No. 19 offense, No. 54 defense, No. 28 strength of schedule
- ESPN's BPI: No. 27 overall (up four), projected 21.1-9.9 final record
