Where is Louisville basketball ranked in new AP Top 25, Coaches Poll?

Where is Louisville basketball in the latest top-25 polls after dropping two Quad 1A road games last week?

Pat Kelsey's Cardinals (20-9, 9-7 ACC) dropped out of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll (from No. 20 last week) following their losses at then-No. 19 North Carolina on Feb. 23 and at Clemson on Feb. 28.

UofL closes the regular season with a 9 p.m. tipoff Tuesday against Syracuse at the KFC Yum! Center, then a 2 p.m. tipoff Saturday at Miami.

The Orange (15-14, 6-10) are ranked 79th in the NET as of Monday, making Tuesday's game a Quad 3 opportunity for Louisville. The Hurricanes (23-6, 12-4) are ranked 30th in the NET to start the final week of the regular season, which makes Saturday's finale at the Watsco Center a chance for the Cards to snap their eight-game Quad 1A losing streak.

During his appearance on a Zoom call with ACC coaches Monday morning, Kelsey was asked about how he plans to respond to UofL's recent skid. He said it boils down to: "Do what you do better and then find ways that you can adjust."

"At this point in the season, everybody is who they are," the coach added. "A leopard doesn't change his spots this late in the season, but there's no question you're always looking for the next button, the right button — some adjustment that's going to fix things. You're always trying to give your guys answers."
