Ciampa's AEW Timeline Clarified

Fightful Select has clarified that Tommaso Ciampa couldn't have appeared on AEW before January 28 as he was still under contract with WWE at that time.

Recent reports claiming Tommaso Ciampa was scheduled to debut on AEW a week earlier than his January 28 appearance have been debunked. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select confirmed that AEW sources directly stated Ciampa was still under contract with WWE until January 28, when he officially became a free agent.

The "Psycho Killer" has also revealed his AEW debut came together at the last minute while he was on a family vacation in Texas. After his surprise appearance on Dynamite, Ciampa went on to win the TNT Championship at AEW Collision before continuing his vacation.
