Colorado Buffaloes Staff Shakeup Continues

Colorado Buffaloes football staff continues to undergo significant changes with defensive coordinator Robert Livingston departing for the NFL's Denver Broncos.

The Buffaloes have lost another coordinator to the NFL, with Robert Livingston leaving his position to become defensive pass game coordinator for the Denver Broncos. This move continues a major staff overhaul under Deion Sanders, as Colorado has now lost 77 years of NFL experience since March 19, 2025.

The Buffaloes will enter 2026 with new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion and defensive coordinator Chris Marve, replacing Pat Shurmur and Livingston respectively. Other new position coaches include QB coach AJ Smith, TE coach Josh Niblett, DL coach Dante, and CB coach. The team will have numerous new faces in key positions, though the defense showed significant improvement under Livingston in 2024, moving from 121st to 43rd in scoring defense.
