Colts Grant Trade Permission for QB Richardson

The Indianapolis Colts have granted quarterback Anthony Richardson permission to seek a trade, following his loss of the starting job to Daniel Jones.

The No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Richardson lost the competition to be the Colts' starting quarterback to Jones in 2025. Indianapolis intends to keep Jones as their QB1 for 2026 and beyond.

Richardson, who has struggled with injuries throughout his career, posted a 47.7 percent completion rate in 2024 with eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions. At just 23 years old, his value on the trade market remains uncertain despite his first-round pedigree.
