F1 Producers: Title Winner Didn't Matter for Drive to Survive

Netflix producers James Gay-Rees and Tom Rogers claim the 2025 Formula 1 championship outcome was irrelevant to the narrative of the upcoming eighth season of Drive to Survive.

The producers explained that regardless of who won—Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, or Oscar Piastri—the show's story would have worked for Season 8.

Speaking to F1.com, the team emphasized that the narrative arc remained strong irrespective of the title battle's conclusion.
