Knueppel Breaks NBA Rookie 3-Point Record

Charlotte Hornets forward Kon Knueppel broke the NBA record for most 3-pointers made by a rookie in a single season on Saturday. The previous mark was held by Sacramento Kings' Keegan Murray, who made 206 3-pointers during the 2022-23 season.

Knueppel tied Murray's record with a fast break three-pointer in the first half, going 5-for-8 on 3-point attempts in the opening half. The rookie had a chance to break the record before halftime but missed a contested turnaround shot at the buzzer.
