Max Scherzer reportedly agrees to reunion with Blue Jays

Max Scherzer is returning to the Toronto Blue Jays on a one-year contract worth a base salary of $3 million plus up to $10 million in incentives.

The 42-year-old right-hander is set for his 19th MLB season and 19th team, making him the second-oldest active player behind Justin Verlander. Scherzer previously pitched for Toronto last season, contributing 14.1 innings of postseason work with 11 strikeouts and a 3.77 ERA.
