Rodgers hails 'special' derby win but dismisses title hopes

Al Qadsiah secured a resounding 4-0 derby victory over Al Ettifaq, with Brendan Rodgers calling the win 'special' while downplaying title talk despite his team's unbeaten run.

Nahitan Nandez, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Julian Quinones, and Julian Weigl scored as Al Qadsiah dominated the Eastern Derby at Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium. The victory extended their unbeaten streak in the Roshn Saudi League to 14 matches since Rodgers took charge.

Despite his team moving to fourth place, just three points behind the summit, Rodgers remained cautious about title aspirations. 'I always say that the team I'm trying to build here is a team that starts very fast and finishes very strong,' he stated, emphasizing his focus on building a strong physical mentality rather than immediate championship contention.
