The Warrenton 8th grade girls basketball squad won the middle school state tournament, defeating Madras/Warm Springs 60-52 in the final.

On March 1, the Warrenton 8th grade girls basketball team secured the state title after a 60-52 victory over Madras/Warm Springs in the championship game. They finished the weekend with five wins and one loss, dropping only to Madras on Saturday night.

The squad, composed of six eighth‑graders and four seventh‑graders, has played together for five years, with six players having been teammates for that long.
