Barella to Start as Playmaker vs Bodo/Glimt

Inter Milan's Nicolo Barella will start as a deep-lying playmaker in tonight's Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt, replacing the injured Hakan Calhanoglu.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Barella will step into the playmaker role following Calhanoglu's muscle problem. The 29-year-old made his return from injury against Juventus last weekend but picked up a yellow card that rules him out of Inter's next Serie A match against Lecce.

Manager Cristian Chivu hopes to give Piotr Zielinski some rest by deploying Barella in the midfield position, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Petar Sucic expected to complete the trio.
