Sonny Styles Sets Combine Record with Historic Workout

Former Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles delivered a historic performance at the NFL Combine, posting a 43.5-inch vertical jump and 4.46-second 40-yard dash time.

At 6-foot-5 and 244 pounds, Styles measured up closely to Calvin Johnson and dominated the athletic testing. His vertical jump of 43.5 inches was only 1.5 inches off the all-time record, and his broad jump ranked fourth among linebackers since 1999.

The 21-year-old reclassified in high school and comes from a football family, being the son of former Buckeye and Super Bowl winner Lorenzo Styles Sr. His 4.46 time tied for the best of the day, and his 92 athletic score ranked first among all linebackers.
