Jurgen Klopp has been linked as a potential target for Real Madrid’s bench ever since Xabi Alonso left the post, and was even publicly asked about the possibility on several occasions.
The former Liverpool coach, however, has stood firm that he is satisfied with his current role as Red Bull’s global head of football and that he is contemplating an immediate return to coaching.
Now, as reported by AS, however, there could be a steep turn of tables in June and he may not be ruled out as an option after all.
Klopp could return to management
As furthered by the Spanish outlet, several outlets in Austria believe that Klopp and Red Bull could part ways in the coming summer.
It has been just a year since he took up the post, but there are signs that the partnership could be coming to an end.

Klopp’s task as their global head of football was to boost the revenue and growth of their teams, something that has not been achieved as satisfactorily as initially anticipated. The failure to meet expectations could lead to a premature departure.
Klopp’s current contract with the German giants runs until 2029, and they continue to deny any news of a separation honouring that agreement. However, there are many internal voices already speaking of his return to coaching.
Should Klopp choose to leave, Red Bull will not pose any hurdles for him and will facilitate his departure with ease as they have already identified a replacement in Olivier Glasner.
The question, however, revolves around whether there is enough of a reason for either party to call for a parting of ways.
Real Madrid, for their part, continue to publicly back Alvaro Arbeloa and will make a decision over a managerial change looking at the results.
