The Section 2 hockey playoffs are complete and Shenendehowa emerged Monday as the Division 1 champion at M&T Bank Center in Schenectady.

Shenendehowa was the No. 1 seed for the Division 1 tournament. Queensbury is the lone Section 2 team at the Division 2 level and advance to the state tournament. A year ago, Shenendehowa and Queensbury each advanced to the state tournament and lost in the semifinals at LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo.

During the regular season, Shenendehowa compiled a 13-0 mark in Capital District High School Hockey League action. Overall, Shenendehowa finished the regular season at 17-2-1.
