Bears Center Drew Dalman Retires at 27 After Five NFL Seasons

Bears Pro‑Bowl center Drew Dalman has announced his retirement at 27, ending a five‑season NFL career that included a standout stint with the Chicago Bears.

Dalman signed a three‑year, $42 million deal with the Bears in March 2025, helping the team rise from last to first in the NFC North. The 27‑year‑old center earned Pro‑Bowl honors and was a key part of the Bears’ offensive line.

Now, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Dalman has decided to retire, citing personal reasons. He left Stanford in 2021, played four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and one with the Bears, and will finish his career after five seasons.
