Iran's Football Federation Uncertain About World Cup Participation

Mehdi Taj, president of the Football Federation of Iran (FFIRI), told sports portal Varzesh3 that the national team may not be able to play World Cup matches in the United States after the recent US and Israeli strikes. He said, "We cannot look forward with hope," adding that the conflict has made it impossible to anticipate participation in the tournament. The statement comes amid escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel.
