McVay Won't Lose Sleep Over Backward Pass Proposal

Rams coach Sean McVay won't be bothered if his proposal to change backward pass rules doesn't pass, calling the play that prompted it 'very rare'.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday, McVay explained the Rams' proposal aims to make tipped backward passes fall under the same parameters as fumbles in specific situations. "It was basically trying to write it in a way that allowed it to fall under the same parameters of not being able to advance a fumble favorably like the Holy Roller play," McVay said.

The Rams have also proposed a 40-second limit on booth reviews following the lengthy delay during the controversial two-point conversion in their Week 16 game against the Seahawks. "If it doesn't go through, I'm not losing any sleep over it," McVay added about his proposal.
